The year was 1957 – one year after the birth of Little Caesar and the Consuls when Joe Beal and Jim Boothe had words and music for Jingle-Bell Rock published by the Anne-Rachel Music Corporation, New York, N.Y. It was to be played “moderately with a rock beat“.
What a song – still heard every Christmas season since 1957! Those jingle-bells were sure “rockin’ and swingin’ and blowin’ up bushels of fun, chimin’, dancin’ and prancin’ in Jingle-bell Square”.
Well Caesar had a good rockin’ 2019 and we look forward to a swingin’ 2020.
