HappyNewYear2016

2016 is here and before we begin to tell you about some exciting upcoming events may we extend a Happy New Year to all our Caesar fans.

This year marks the 60th Anniversary of Little Caesar & the Consuls, since 1956. It seems like it was just yesterday when we celebrated our 50th in 2006.

2006 was a great year, new custom leather 50th Anniversary Jackets for the band and we were asked to do two very significant performances…

  1. We were honored to perform for Long and McQuade, Canada’s leading music retailer’s 50th Anniversary Gala at Toronto’s Pheonix Concert Theatre. It was a fabulous evening of live music and presentations.
  2. Toronto’s radio station CHUM 105O also celebrated their 50th that year and we performed at a huge outdoor event staged at Nathan Phillips Square.

You see, 1956 was the startup year for many good things. It proved to be a recipe for success and longevity not only for Long and McQuade and CHUM but for Little Caesar & the Consuls as well. Take five talented young musicians, add some instruments of their choosing, record some songs and mix gently, coat it with some vinyl and let the radio station do the rest. The result, several Canadian hits.

A lot of rock and roll has come and gone during the past six decades. There is something to be said about continuing a legacy. We like to think that’s exactly what we are doing. We believe the current makeup of the band is the perfect recipe for continued success.

Continuing to perform and seeing all the familiar faces on the dance floor is what keeps us going. We thank you and look forward to seeing many of you this year.
